About

If you are ready to work collaboratively to reduce suffering, decrease anxiety, improve your mood, increase your focus, and experience more joy, then you have come to the right place!

I am licensed in the state of New York as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Registered Nurse. I have worked in the field of mental health since 1987 and have experience in inpatient psychiatric hospital units, crisis management, outpatient mental health clinics, eating disorders programs, intensive outpatient programs and private practice.

My practice is primarily focused on medication management, with an emphasis on your overall well- being. We will explore the role of nutrition, exercise, sleep, social connection, and spiritual practice on your overall functioning. My work is done in collaboration with your individual therapist.

For many years I was known as a provider of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, running groups, training providers, and speaking for public, professional, and university audiences. Though this is no longer my primary focus, the themes of learning to understand and work with your emotions, recognizing and respecting your individual needs, communicating well with others in your world, and reducing emotional reactivity while increasing the ability to skillfully respond to challenging situations still guide my work with clients. I will work with you to help you build a life worth living.

Serving clients throughout the state of New York - you can work with me in the comfort of your home or office using telepsychiatry!

I will work with you to help you build a life worth living.
